Julia at JW Physiotherapy

 

Julia at JW Physiotherapy qualified in 2004. She is a Chartered Physiotherapist, meaning that she is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is registered with the HCPC (number PH69302), the regulatory body for all health and care professions.

She has worked in London at Teaching Hospitals and now works in West Hertfordshire as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist. As an Advanced Physiotherapist Julia has specialist knowledge in diagnosing, including knowing when to request imaging such an MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound as well as blood tests. In her role she specialises in the management of all musculoskeletal conditions, advising on diagnosis and the best, most evidenced way forward for treatment. She can advise on when surgery may be indicated or whether physiotherapy is the best way forward.

Julia has an MSc in physiotherapy and is a member of the prestigious physiotherapy group, the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).

Julia is passionate about physiotherapy, health promotion and injury prevention. As a keen runner herself, Julia has developed a special interest in running injuries and rehabilitation of runners back to fitness. These rehab skills are very relevant and transferable in the treatment of all injuries, runner or not.
